This is the view from Brookburn Primary School in Manchester, England. Mr Alderdice's class are in Year 3 (7-8 years old).
Here is the view from our class window, it is much more exciting than usual! We live in Chorlton, Manchester, UK. Normally our weather is fairly mild (although it does rain - lots!). However, recently we had some very strong winds and one of the trees outside our school blew over.
We began to think about what could have caused it, if it wasn't the wind. Some of the ideas we came up with were:
An angy mole dug it up!
An alien spaceship crash landed and knocked it over.
A massive evil flower came over and bit the tree down,so he could plant in it’s place and eat the children!
We would love to hear what you think could have caused the tree to fall.

Well all this may be true, but I believe that this tree was simply the victim of a colossal fight between Osiris (Egyptian god of the underworld) and his brother Seth. They have been mad at each other for years. As the god of chaos, Seth began a fight with Osiris deep under ground. During the melee, Seth threw Osiris to the ceiling knocking the tree right out of the ground!

My Academic Support/Reading class, consisiting of 10th, 11th, 12th grades, commented from a different point of view. My class said....... "This is why trees should not drink Red Bull. Even Red Bull is not powerful enough to give a tree this size wings to fly. All joking aside, those must have been very powerful winds in order to topple over a tree of this size. Maybe it was Aeolus, the wind god, who blew through. Hopefully, no one was near by or under the tree when it fell."
Mrs. Helms-Albemarle, NC-USA My class did some creative writing pieces on how the tree fell over. I hope you and your class enjoy them! One day a tree fallen I think the wind and the hurricane made the tree fallen in the yard. And the school said the tree was fallowing and the tree fallen.-Amber A monster came to fight the tree . And the tree came alive .Then the tree got beat by the monster . Then it fell over .Then the tree said you are a punk .Then the monster came back and punch him in his face and never stopped until morning came. Then somebody saw the tree laying on the ground. Then he started laughing. At him and the tree said be quiet old man but he did not hear the tree . –Antonio Burns or Tony Burns. I thank that Jason and Freddy came to chaise some people to cut them for Dinner and they came and nock down the tree down so they can have some desert to eat. Then in the morning they can have some breast to eat then they can have lunch and snack. Then desert but they have to find more people to eat for dinner and desert. Then they can go to bed. -Celbie I think the root did not want to be in the ground no longer because it could not breath at all. The tree was sad when it fell over. The tree was acting crazy it fell over. It was funny when the tree fell over. There are a lot of funny stuff you can put on the computer. The tree fell over Because-Emily The devil and god had a fight and the devil threw god into the tree and tilted it. Since the devil was better in strength he gave a very strong punch and hit god and god bashed the tree and tilted it more but then devil spinned and punched the tree and knocked out the tree.-Jared I think 900 animals from under the ground came and pushed it tree over because under ground they had a fit because a mole wanted to be the maser and tack all the homes but a mouse said but we need homes for shelter then a beadle said yaw just in cause their is a earth quack but the mole keep saying no I want to be the maser so they threw him to the ceiling and they naked the tree down and the mole learned a lessen because he had to pay for tree. - Jasmine Once upon of time in England a tree fell over every body wondered how it fell. I think it fell because a crowed of beavers chopped it down to make a dam. But every body else thought it fell because too many birds were on it, a bunch of animals came, the wind was to strong.-Kristyn Once there was a city but a hurricane came to that city. So everyone left the hurricane and knocked the tree down on the grand and it made a big boom when it fall to the grand and left a big hole in the grand . When the people come back they clean up the place but not the tree. Well because it was to big for them and it was heave for them. THE END by –Madison. I think the tree fall down because god and the devil had a big fight and they wire very angry at each other they mad the tree fall down on the grand are god and the devil mad a hurricane come throw and mad it fall.-Morgan The tree fell because the wind was to rough for the tree fell the tree is dead in the roots is gone god probably got mad at the devil he was tide of doing work for god they need to get alone with each other. Once there was a city and there was a giant and he shook the tree and it fell over. And the giant was mad he was so mad that his face was RED. Then he said I am king he said. -Patricia I think a giant gorilla got mad and knocked it down then he got a whooping because that was his mother’s tree then he was grounded for 6,000,000 months then his sister was outside playing hide and seek with her friends then he got even mad.-Skylar
